A devastated North Shore family have put up a big cash reward in a bid to find their beloved family dog Simba, who went missing on Mother’s Day and hasn’t been seen since.
Fluffy chow chow Simba vanished from a Castlecrag home, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore, about 4pm on May 8.
Simba’s family is now offering a $10,000 cash reward for his safe return.

CCTV captured that day shows Simba marching down Edinburgh Road at 12.32pm.
Pet Detective service Arthur & Co is on the case, with its investigators scouring the area, asking nearby residents to download and send in CCTV footage.
The doggy detectives have formed a map of Simba’s movements using a combination of CCTV footage from the area, and say the dog’s path can be mapped until a certain point.
“What we do know is that around 1pm, there was an incident at the top of The Tor Walk, because a dog on Linden Way can be seen barking incessantly for eight minutes at something nearby,” Arthur & Co founder Anne-Marie told 7NEWS.com.au.
“This dog has a particular grudge against Simba for some reason.
“Based on the CCTV that we’ve got ... and two eyes that saw him on the The Tor Walk ... we can assume with some confidence that the barking was at Simba, but we don’t see him leave and he didn’t make it home either.”
“There’s a fair amount of certainty that something happened to him on The Tor Walk.”
Anne-Marie believes that two women were walking a black poodle nearby at the time of the incident, and urges them to come forward with any information they may have.
On the day he went missing, Simba was spotted walking throughout the Castlecrag peninsula, on The Tor Walk, Linden Way, Edinburgh Road and Cheyne Walk.
“Findings thus far indicate Simba has either met with misadventure or he is stolen,” Arthur & Co said on Facebook.
The dog is six years old, de-sexed, and microchipped “to his breeder who was unable to be contacted”.
The owners have shared pictures online with a plea to their community to join the search.
“Not many chow chow dogs in Sydney, so if you have seen one which looks like this, kindly let us know,” the owner wrote last Tuesday.
“Regardless of the reason, the person who returned (sic) Simba unharmed will get $10,000 no questions ask.”
Two missing chow chows were reportedly located at the Hawkesbury Council pound but have since been ruled out as a match.
