SA COVID exposure site list expands to include Gawler school as number of cases doubles with six new infections announced

A supermarket, gym and Centrelink branch have also been identified - this is what you need to know.

An entire school north of Adelaide has been deemed a Tier 1 exposure site for COVID-19.

A list of new alerts has been issued by SA Health, after a cluster in the state doubled from six to 12 cases on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the cases from the winery, a man in his 40s, also attended a school at Gawler on Monday raising concerns for other staff and students.

The new Tier 1 sites are as follow:

Centrelink (staff) in Modbury between 12pm and 2pm on Friday, July 9

Drakes Supermarket in Clovercrest Shopping Centre between 11am and 12.30pm on Wednesday, July 14

Gawler and District College B-12 (whole school) in Evanston between 7.50am and 3.30pm on Monday, July 19

Chiera & Sons Fresh Market (formerly Hollywood Fresh) in Salisbury Downs between 12pm and 2pm on Sunday, July 18

Gym24Seven in Para Hills West between 3pm and 6pm on Monday, July 19

Anyone at those locations at the designated times is required to get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.

They are also required to get tested again on the fifth and 13th days of their quarantine.

Three Tier 2 exposure sites have been identified. They are:

Modbury Hospital Emergency Department between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Sunday, July 18

Centrelink (staff) in Modbury between 12pm and 2pm on Friday, July 9

City of Tea Tree Gully Civic Centre between 11.30am and 1pm on Saturday, July 10

People at the locations at the given times must get tested immediately and quarantine for 14 days.

Five of the new cases are linked to the Tenafeate Creek winery at Yattalunga, north of Adelaide, with the sixth, a child under five, linked to The Greek restaurant in the city where a number of infected people dined over the weekend.

Earlier in the day, authorities had reported just one new locally acquired case overnight.
