Campbelltown fitness instructor Anthony Glumac hit with 32 additional charges

The Sydney fitness instructor has now been charged with 47 offences against 19 alleged victims - some as young as 14.

An accused serial rapist who police claim preyed on girls and women across Sydney, Wollongong and Bowral, has been hit with dozens of fresh charges.

Another 32 charges were laid against fitness instructor Anthony Glumac, 24, on Monday after 14 further women, including three schoolgirls, contacted police to report alleged incidents involving sexual violence.

Glumac was first arrested at a Campbelltown unit in December following an investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman and was later charged with sexually violent attacks on five women.

Since then, the number of his alleged victims has more than tripled.

The 32 new charges include sixteen counts of sexual intercourse without consent, five counts of common assault and six counts of stalking or intimidating intend fear physical harm.

Police allege they relate to 11 women, aged between 18 and 28, and three girls, aged 14, 16 and 17, for offences that occurred in Darlinghurst, Wollongong and across southwest Sydney.

Glumac has now been charged with 47 sexual assault-related offences against 19 alleged victims.

He was represented by legal aid in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday and chose to remain in his jail cell as the new charges were heard.

The police prosecutor described the case as “unusual” because there are so many victims.

Glumac will return to court in June.
