A police officer has been injured after responding to a domestic violence incident in Sydney on Tuesday morning.
Police say that officers attended a unit on Punt Road in Gladesville where they were allegedly confronted by a man wielding two knives.
He then allegedly attacked a a 26-year-old male probationary constable, who suffered a cut to the head.

A police operation unfolded with Tactical Operations Unit officers and negotiators attending the scene and a 38-year-old man was taken into custody just after 12.30pm.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with Punt Road closed in both directions.
Investigations are continuing.
