NSW COVID exposure site list grows again as stores in Pacific Square Shopping Centre, Bondi Junction Westfield on alert

Shoppers at two major shopping centres are being placed on alert for signs of COVID-19 as the exposure site list balloons again.

More venues have been identified by NSW Health as potential exposure sites.

The health body on Monday evening issued its second public health alert within four hours to notify of more venues of concern.

It comes after 18 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by health authorities on Monday.

Only six of those had been in isolation throughout their infectious period.

Of the new venues listed as exposure sites, attendees to one are considered close contacts.

Anyone who was at the Black and Gold Espresso cafe in Roseberry on Friday, June 25 between 10.30am-11.30am should test and isolate for a full 14 days, regardless of result.

Further, anyone who attended the following is considered a casual contact.

They should seek testing and self-isolate until a negative result is returned.

  • Westpac Marrickville on Monday, June 21 between 2.30pm-4pm, on Tuesday, June 22 between 2.30pm-4pm and on Wednesday, June 23 between 2.30pm-4pm.
  • Bakers Delight in Pacific Square Shopping Centre on Wednesday, June 23 between 3.30pm-3.40pm.
  • Royale Poultry in Pacific Square Shopping Centre on Wednesday, June 23 between 3.30pm-3.40pm.
  • Harvey Norman in Bondi Junction Westfield on Friday, June 25 between 11.20am-11.30am.
  • JB Hi-Fi in Bondi Junction Westfield in Friday, June 25 between 11.30am-11.40am.
  • Shell Coles Express in Alexandria on Saturday, June 26 between 10am-10.15am.

The venues are in addition to exposure sites and times listed earlier.

People who attended the following are close contacts and should test and isolate for a full 14 days:

  • Domino’s Pizza Merrylands on Monday, June 21 between 6.20pm-6.50pm.
  • Glenquarie Hotel in Macquarie Fields on Tuesday, June 22 between 5pm-11.30pm, on Wednesday, June 23 between 5pm-11.30pm and on Thursday, June 24 between 5pm-11.30pm.
  • Black and Gold Espresso in Rosebery on Friday, June 25 between 10.50am-11.20am.

Anyone who visited the following venues at the same time are considered casual contacts.

They should seek testing and isolate until a negative result is returned.

  • Shell Coles Express in Pagewood on Wednesday, June 23 between 11am-11.30am.
  • Woolworths Glenquarie Town Centre in Macquarie Fields on Friday, June 25 between 12pm-4.30pm.
  • Bunnings Eastgardens in Hillsdale on Friday, June 25 between 4pm-4.30pm.
  • Coles Express in Alexandria on Saturday, June 26 between 9.45am-10.30am.

The new exposure sites come as Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast and Wollongong remain in lockdown.

The stay-at-home orders were extended from visitors and workers in four LGAs to the entire Sydney region on Saturday.

The restrictions will be in place until Friday, July 9.
