Two men seriously injured in brutal footpath stabbing attack in Western Sydney

The attacker remains on the run after the pair suffered serious stab wounds in the early morning assault.

Two men have been hospitalised after a brutal attack in Sydney’s west on Saturday morning.

The pair were found with stab wounds on the footpath on Main St near Flushcombe Rd, Blacktown just after 12.15am and are in critical condition.

One of the men, a 48-year-old, had been stabbed in the neck and shoulder.

The other man, a 34-year-old, had been stabbed in the back.

Both were treated at the scene and taken to Westmead Hospital in critical but stable condition.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident has commenced.

“A search of the surrounding area was conducted; however, no arrests were made,” NSW Police said.

“Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene, which is being examined by specialist forensic police.”
