A young woman was allegedly stabbed before a group of people forced her into a vehicle in an Adelaide shopping centre car park.

Police say the “violent disturbance” unfolded at the Sefton Plaza in Sefton Park before 8am on Tuesday.

Officers were able to locate the 21-year-old woman at a Blair Athol address.

She was suffering multiple stab wounds to the stomach.

She was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with what police believe are serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Two Blair Athol men have been charged with attempted murder and unlawful detention.

The 56-year-old and 28-year-old men will appear in Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The people involved in the incident are known to each other, police said.

“This was not a random incident,” police said in a statement.

Crimes scenes have been set up and investigations are continuing.

Police have called for anyone with information, including video, of the incident to come forward.
