A sixth teenager has been charged with murder over the fatal assault of a 16-year-old boy in Sydney’s west.

Paramedics who attended a home on Perigee Close, Doonside, about 5.40pm on Wednesday following reports of an assault, found a 16-year-old boy unresponsive with critical injuries to his head and chest.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where he died on Saturday.

Four boys, aged between 13 and 15, as well as a 15-year-old girl, have already been charged and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 19-year-old woman was arrested in Doonside on Sunday afternoon.

She has since been charged with murder, causing grievous bodily harm to a person with intent and detaining in company with the intent to gain advantage occasioning actual bodily harm.

The teenager was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday.
