It looks like the woman with the famous name didn’t get a chance to sail into Sydney Harbour after all.

Wanted South Australian woman Khe Sanh Cox didn’t get the chance to sail into Sydney Harbour before she was arrested by police on Saturday evening.

The 28-year-old, whose name appears to be a reference to the Cold Chisel hit song Khe Sanh, had been on the run from police over a number of “serious offences”.

The search for Khe Sanh took a more jovial turn for social media users after South Australian police shared her name and photo on Facebook in a bid for more information from the public to help find her.

Unfortunately for Cox, her famous first name only amplified the police search.

She will now be goin’ nowhere soon after she was caught by police in Greenwith on Saturday evening.

SA Police said they were called to a Waikerie petrol station over allegations a woman driving a blue Honda Civic had failed to pay for petrol.

PolAir tracked the vehicle as it travelled through the suburbs of Elizabeth, Elizabeth North and Davoren Park before making its way to Greenwith.

Police allege Khe Sanh Cox and another male passenger dumped the vehicle before running through a part and breaking into a house on McCann Place.

Authorities say a woman who was at home at the time of the incident was not physically injured.

Cox and her 37-year-old male passenger were apprehended by police after the property was quickly surrounded and PD Jax was sent in.

“The 37-year-old man from Mile End was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and hindering police,” SA Police said in a statement.

He was been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 9 March.

After SA Police shared the news on their Facebook page, a number of social media users flocked to the post to make light of her unusual name.

“Far out sounds like she’s been from the ocean to the silver city!” said one user.

“I guess the last plane out of Sydney wasn’t enough for Khe Sanh so she took the last blue Honda Civic out of Kingston instead,” added another.

“There ain’t nothing like the kisses, of PD Jax who never misses....” said a third.
